Precision CNC Milling for Industrial OEM Components

CNC milling removes excess material from solid blanks with rotating cutters on multi-axis machines. It is the ideal solution to manufacture complex prismatic and contoured metal & plastic components for automation, new energy and fluid control equipment.

Maintaining ultra-tight tolerance ±0.005 mm on thin-wall aluminum housings, valve blocks and automation brackets requires mature fixture design, optimized tool paths and stress relief technology.

We adopt Mastercam & Siemens NX programming with full simulation before formal machining, to ensure first articles meet your drawing requirements. Our engineers provide professional DFM suggestions free of charge. If your design contains unnecessary strict tolerances or difficult-to-machine structures, we will offer optimization proposals at the quotation stage.

Five Factors That Determine CNC Milling Part Cost

Minor adjustments to engineering drawings can reduce manufacturing costs by 20–40% without sacrificing part performance. These practical DFM guidelines are based on our rich experience manufacturing precision CNC machined components for new energy equipment, robotic automation systems, pump & fluid control machinery, packaging machinery and electronic instruments.

📐Internal corner radii

A milling cutter is circular, which means internal corners naturally come with radii. Demanding sharp internal corners requires EDM processing or low-efficiency finishing with tiny cutters. We recommend reserving a radius at least 1/3 of pocket depth. Optimized corner design speeds up production and lowers costs for automation brackets, pump valve bodies and new energy structural parts.

🟦Wall thickness

Metal walls thinner than ~0.8 mm (1.5 mm for plastics) easily vibrate and deform during machining. We can produce ultra-thin walls using dedicated fixtures and stress relief treatment, but this will increase costs. Kindly inform us whether thin walls are functional requirements for fluid control components, automation equipment housings or only reserved from original 3D models.

Pocket depth-to-width ratio

Deep and narrow pockets require slender cutters that are prone to deflection and taper. Keep pocket depth within 4 times the tool diameter for stable dimensional tolerance. Deeper pockets usually require 5-axis machining or negotiated tolerance trade-offs, common for new energy cooling bases and valve fluid channel parts.

🚀Tolerance only where it counts

Universal ±0.01mm tolerance for all dimensions will significantly raise machining expenses. Please mark only mating, sealing and assembly surfaces as critical tolerance zones. This optimization is widely applied in robotic automation assemblies, pump fluid fittings and electronic precision components.

Undercuts & tool access

Features unreachable by straight standard cutters require 5-axis machining, T-slot tools or structural redesign. If undercuts are only reserved for assembly clearance on packaging machinery parts and automation fixtures, simpler alternative structures can effectively cut your production budget.

💡Threads & inserts

For soft metals and mass production orders, threaded inserts offer better durability than directly tapped threads. We adopt thread milling for hard alloy components used in new energy equipment and fluid control valves. Each batch of threaded parts will be strictly inspected to guarantee assembly performance.

Precision CNC Milling with Strict Quality Control

Quality control runs through every custom CNC milling order. Equipped with in-house Hexagon CMM equipment, raw material verification, in-process testing and final dimensional inspection, we guarantee all precision machined components satisfy drawing tolerances and strict application standards for new energy, robotic automation, pump & fluid control, packaging machinery and electronic equipment.

  • 2 sets of Hexagon CMM machines for high-precision dimensional inspection
  • Constant-temperature inspection lab for tight-tolerance CNC milled components
  • In-process inspection during CNC milling production
  • Custom final inspection test reports provided on request
  • Strict raw material incoming inspection before machining
  • ISO 9001 certified quality management system
